Kitchen
The standards, preparation and consistency behind service.

Operator. Builder. Author.
Shalom Bennett is the founder of Bennett Edge Group and HospiEdge, a hospitality operator and an author. His work brings practical operating knowledge into software and publishing.

The operating background
Shalom's experience spans kitchen, service and general management. It connects the detail of daily operations with staffing, standards, cost control and the responsibility of leading a business.
That background gives his product work a practical starting point. The host, the server, the kitchen and the manager have different jobs, but their decisions affect one another. HospiEdge was built around those relationships.
The standards, preparation and consistency behind service.
The pace, decisions and coordination of the floor.
Staffing, operating control and responsibility for the whole business.
From experience to design
Through Bennett Edge Group, Shalom brings together the product direction behind HospiEdge and the engineering required to support it. The work includes defining roles, mapping workflows, connecting records and testing the result.
The central question remains practical: does the software help the person doing the work and the person responsible for the outcome?
A role is more than a label. The person needs an interface that fits the task and access that fits the responsibility. A host stand, kitchen and manager's desk do not need the same experience.
The result of one person's action becomes another person's input. Clear source records and deliberate handoffs keep that relationship understandable across applications.
Operating work includes corrections, interruptions and changing priorities. Those cases belong in the product design and verification, alongside the expected workflow.
